Reflecting on Picasso quote

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."

What do you think Pablo Picasso means by this statement?

In this statement I think Picasso means that every kid has there own way of expression and identity which makes them like an artist because artist have there own expression. Although when you grow up u might try to be like someone else so you will not have your own personal outlook on things and you will not be true to yourself. So when were young were all artists cause we are our own person and identity and when we grow up we must stay true to that.

  1. interesting perspective sophie. are you saying, in a way, that we are more our own person when we're younger and less self-conscious? why do you think we lose that as we get older?
